Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join the Addenbrookes Hospital team in Cambridge. This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) offers a competitive rate of £16.53 per hour and opportunities for ongoing training and development.

You will participate in the dispensing process, check and prepare medication orders, ensure accuracy and safety, and maintain strong relationships with customers and healthcare professionals while delivering

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the GPhC and hold an NVQ3.
• Must have completed the additional accuracy checking course.
• Prior experience in a customer-focused environment is preferred.

What your working day will look like;

• Participating in the entire dispensing process
• Checking and preparing medication orders
• Ensuring accuracy and safety in handling and distributing pharmaceuticals

In addition to dispensing prescriptions, you'll also have the opportunity to:

• Complete and maintain accurate administrative records
• Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment
• Receive, store and issue medications and other supplies
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure adequate stock levels
• Provide healthcare advice and signposting customers to appropriate resources when necessary.

To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), have an NVQ3 and have completed the additional accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services. If you are unable to provide us with your Certificate for the FINAL ACCURACY CHECKING QUALIFICATION. Your application will be rejected at this stage.
