Sensible Staffing, recruiting on behalf of a client, seeks an Accredited Checking Technician to join a pharmacy team in Northampton (NN4 7UF). The role focuses on final accuracy checks and compliant dispensing to support safe patient care.

Key requirements include GPhC registration with ACPT, a Pharmacy Technician qualification, and at least 2 years post-qualification experience in hospital or community settings. Monday to Friday, with no weekend shifts, is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be GPhC registered with an ACT qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician qualification (BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• ACPT qualification and CPD up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Perform final accuracy checks on POM, Pharmacy Medicines, and ancillary items.
• Ensure dispensing processes comply with GPhC, RPS, SOPs, and Good Documentation Practices.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and audit trails.
• Apply correct patient labelling in line with legal and professional requirements.
• Record and report dispensing errors, incidents, and support investigations.
• Support the Responsible Pharmacist and wider pharmacy team.
• Contribute to training, CPD, and continuous professional development.
• Uphold confidentiality, health & safety, and infection control standards.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) to join their pharmacy team in Northampton (NN4 7UF). This role is essential in ensuring accuracy and compliance in the dispensing process, while supporting safe and effective patient care.

Key Details:

• Location: Northampton
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• Requirements: Must be GPhC registered with an ACT qualification

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform final accuracy checks on Prescription Only Medicines (POM), Pharmacy Medicines (P), and ancillary items.
• Ensure all dispensing processes comply with GPhC, RPS, SOPs, and Good Documentation Practices.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure clear audit trails.
• Apply correct patient labelling in line with legal and professional requirements.
• Record and report dispensing errors, incidents, and support investigations.
