Job summary

Ddgroup in Witham is seeking an experienced Accredited Checking Dispenser for a role focused on dispensing and checking prescriptions in a supportive, professional environment.

You will have Monday to Friday hours with no weekend work and no patient-facing responsibilities, allowing you to concentrate on accuracy and governance while collaborating with pharmacists and the wider team.

Qualifications

• Accredited Checking Dispenser qualification required.
• Experience working in a pharmacy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Checking and dispensing prescriptions in line with SOPs and company procedures.
• Supporting the preparation and organisation of prescriptions for the dispensing process.
• Assisting with prescription and order queries.
• Working closely with pharmacists to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Supporting training and development of team members and new starters.
• Maintaining governance, compliance and confidentiality.
• Recording and reporting near misses, complaints and governance incidents.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient pharmacy environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Checking and dispensing prescriptions in line with SOPs and company procedures
• Supporting the preparation and organisation of prescriptions for the dispensing process
• Assisting with prescription and order queries
• Working closely with pharmacists and pharmacy colleagues to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Supporting the training and development of team members and new starters
• Maintaining high standards of governance, compliance and confidentiality
• Recording and reporting near misses, complaints and other governance incidents
• Helping to maintain a clean, organised and efficient pharmacy environment

What We're Looking For

• Accredited Checking Dispenser qualification (or willingness to complete the qualification if required)
• Previous experience working within a pharmacy environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
• Experience checking prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence using pharmacy systems and learning new technologies
