Job summary

PHOENIX Medical Supplies Ltd. is seeking an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Inverness. You will participate in the dispensing process, check medication orders, and ensure accuracy in handling pharmaceuticals while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the entire dispensing process.
  • Check and prepare medication orders.
  • Ensure accuracy and safety in medication handling.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide healthcare advice as needed.

Total Working Hours: 35hrs
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday included.

What your working day will look like;

  • Participating in the entire dispensing process
  • Checking and preparing medication orders
  • Ensuring accuracy and safety in handling and distributing pharmaceuticals
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals
  • Delivering courteous and effective customer service at all times.

In addition to dispensing prescriptions, you’ll also have the opportunity to:

  • Complete and maintain accurate administrative records
  • Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment
  • Receive, store and issue medications and other supplies
  • Monitor expiration dates and ensure adequate stock levels
  • Provide healthcare advice and signpost customers to appropriate resources when necessary.

To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), have an NVQ3 and have completed the additional accuracy‑checking course in Pharmacy Services. If you are unable to provide us with your Certificate for FINAL ACCURACY CHECKING QUALIFICATION. Your application will be rejected at this stage.
