Job summary

Campbell Grove Talent are recruiting for an Accounts Trainee to join our Leeds-based firm of Chartered Accountants. You will gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and payroll while working closely with clients.

This role offers a clear development path, study support for qualifications (AAT/ ACA/ ACCA), and a supportive team with regular social events. Salary is £28,000–£30,000 DOE with 24 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Studying for professional qualifications is encouraged.
• Experience in a UK accounting firm preferred.
• Strong client and team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with statutory and management accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies
• Carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations
• Completing weekly and monthly payroll and oversee pension submissions
• Assisting with self-assessment and corporation tax returns
• Liaising with HMRC and Companies House
• Managing client relationships
