Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a well-established and successful accountancy practice in St. Austell, who are looking to recruit an Accounts Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountancy practice accountant to work with a diverse client portfolio, whilst continuing to develop their technical skills.

As an Accounts Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting bookkeeping assignments where required
• Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day accounting queries
• Working closely with senior colleagues to deliver a consistently high standard of client service
• Supporting junior team members where appropriate

This Accounts Technician vacancy would suit someone with previous experience working within an accountancy practice, and who is confident preparing accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.

A candidate who is full or part-qualified AAT is preferred, although applications are equally welcomed from candidates who are qualified by experience or currently studying towards ACA or ACCA. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines will all be key to success in this role.
