Job summary

Clark Wood Limited is recruiting an Accounts Semi Senior for a well-established Bristol practice. You'll work with owner-managed businesses, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies to deliver accurate year-end accounts and tax returns while developing your technical skills.

You'll join a supportive team offering ongoing training, professional qualifications and clear career progression as you take on increasing responsibility and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• AAT qualification or ACA/ACCA in progress or completed.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns for various clients.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
• Support clients with day-to-day accounting and queries.

You’ll work closely with owner-managed businesses, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, helping them meet their accounting and tax obligations while becoming a trusted point of contact.

You’ll play a key role in delivering accounts and tax services to a wide range of clients, including:

• Preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of businesses.
• Completing personal and corporate tax returns.
• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting and financial queries.
• Building strong relationships through excellent client service.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Experience working within an accountancy practice.
• AAT qualified, studying ACA/ACCA, or already qualified.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns for a range of clients.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• A genuine desire to learn, develop, and progress.
