Job summary

Clark Wood are recruiting for an Accounts Senior to join a growing independent accountancy practice in Preston. The role would suit an ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE Accountant with previous practice experience and strong client-facing skills.

The position offers a clear career path with responsibilities including statutory accounts, tax computations, and management accounts, while handling SME/OMB portfolios and client meetings.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE
• Previous accountancy practice experience
• Strong accounts and Corporation Tax knowledge
• Experience managing a client portfolio
• Good knowledge of Xero
• Confident dealing directly with clients

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts
• Prepare Corporation Tax computations
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Manage a portfolio of SME and OMB clients
• Provide accounting advice and attend client meetings
• Review Xero bookkeeping
• Review junior work and support trainee development
