Job summary

Clark Wood is working with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Redditch seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team. The role requires UK practice experience and involves managing a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, preparing accounts, supporting clients, and gaining exposure to advisory work in a friendly environment.

The position offers a competitive salary (£30,000 - £40,000 DOE), a supportive team, and genuine career progression with exposure

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Strong knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting software.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparing management accounts and VAT returns where required.
• Acting as a key point of contact for a portfolio of SME and OMB clients.
• Assisting clients with accounting software queries, particularly Xero.
• Supporting managers with client assignments and advisory projects.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Senior with UK practice experience to manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, preparing accounts, supporting clients, and gaining exposure to wider advisory work within a friendly and supportive environment.
