Job summary

Curtis Recruitment Limited is seeking an Accounts Senior to join a growing and ambitious firm of accountants. The ideal candidate is AAT qualified and part-qualified ACCA or ACA, with a minimum of 2 years’ UK practice experience, and strong UK GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and a minimum of part-qualified ACA / ACCA.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in practice within the UK.
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders to a high standard.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Daily bookkeeping and filing monthly/quarterly VAT returns under all VAT schemes.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard.
• Liaise with clients on queries to ensure work is complete.
• Assist with development and training of junior team members.
• Ad-hoc work to support Managers.
