Job summary

Autograph Specialist Recruitment is recruiting an Accounts Senior for a well-established practice in Bridgwater. The role offers ownership of a varied client portfolio, mentoring junior team members and developing client relationships.

The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of three years post-qualified experience, strong knowledge of statutory accounts and tax compliance, and experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Three years' post-qualified experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounts and tax compliance.
• Experience managing client relationships.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
• Preparing and submitting tax returns and liaising with HMRC where required.
• Providing advice and support to clients on day–to–day accounting matters.
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Using cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks.
