Job summary

Streets is a modern accountancy practice seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join our team and lead a range of client work. You will prepare financial statements, manage deadlines, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients and offices across the network.

We offer study support, a generous leave package, a pension, and hybrid working beyond an initial three-month office period. Travel to client premises and between offices is expected.

Qualifications

  • ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified.
  • 3 years previous experience gained within General Practice.
  • Ability to travel to client premises and between offices.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete all assignments within the allocated budget and on time.
  • Produce draft tax computations for clients.
  • Produce year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.
  • Review work undertaken by junior members of staff.
  • Provide assistance and support in the development of junior staff.
  • Prepare schedules for tax returns.
  • Complete VAT returns.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join our team. This is a key, senior role within the department, responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function while providing a high standard of professionalism and quality of service to a varied client base. You will work closely with clients and colleagues alike while supporting the development of junior members of the team. As we continue to grow, exciting opportunities may arise for you to take ownership of and grow your own client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
