Hireful Ltd is recruiting an Accounts Senior in Henley-on-Thames. You will manage client portfolios, prepare statutory accounts, handle VAT, and deliver monthly management accounts. The role combines hands-on accounting work with mentoring junior staff in a hybrid working environment.

The ideal candidate is AAT qualified or partially ACA/ACCA, with at least two years in practice and strong UK GAAP knowledge. Enjoy strong progression and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified AAT and/or partial ACA/ACCA progression are expected.
• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year end statutory accounts for Ltd companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Handle bookkeeping and file monthly and quarterly VAT returns across all schemes.
• Produce accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients.
• Act as main client contact and support junior team members.

Job description

We are recruiting anAccounts Senior for an established, accountancy practice in Henley-on-Thames who look after owner-managed businesses, high net worth individuals and larger groups across a wide range of sectors. Location: Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Well connected by rail and commutable from Reading, High Wycombe, Marlow, Central London, Caversham, Twyford, Maidenhead and Oxford .The office is based in a beautiful location and the town is world famous for the Henley Royal Regatta and it's picturesque riverside setting.

Salary: up to £45,000 dependent on experience

Benefits :23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by one day each year post-qualified up to 28 days, alongside a pension, discretionary annual bonus, hybrid and flexible working with flexitime, full study support where required, an early 2.30pm Friday finish, corporate rewards, quarterly social events and free onsite parking.

The Role...

• Prepare year end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, along with corporation tax computations and returns
• Handle bookkeeping and file monthly and quarterly VAT returns across all VAT schemes
• Produce accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts that your clients rely on
• Be the go-to contact for your clients, and help train and develop junior members of the team

About You...

• AAT qualified and at least part-qualified ACA or ACCA
• At least 2 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
• Desirable: experience of CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or Alphatax
