Job summary

Rutherford Briant is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior in Colchester to take ownership of a varied portfolio and work closely with clients. You should have at least 5 years' practice experience, with strong accounts preparation skills and solid Xero experience; study support may be available for the right candidate.

In this role you will prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, draft tax computations, liaise with HMRC, and provide bookkeeping support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts preparation experience.
• Qualified, part-qualified or QBE status.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies (FRS 102A/FRS 105).
• Draft tax computations and liaise with HMRC.

Are you an experienced practice accountant looking for a role where you can take ownership of a varied portfolio and work closely with clients?

We're working with an established accountancy practice in Colchester that is looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their team. Ideally, you'll be qualified or QBE with at least 5 years' experience within practice, although study support could be available for the right person.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Senior, you will:

• Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, working to FRS 102A and FRS 105.
• Draft associated tax computations and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Provide bookkeeping services and support clients with any bookkeeping queries.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing advice and assistance across a range of accounting queries.
• Work with clients across their accounting systems, helping to resolve issues and provide ongoing support.

Requirements

As an Accounts Senior, you will have:

• At least 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Qualified, part-qualified or QBE status with strong accounts preparation experience.
• Strong Xero experience
