Job summary

Trial Balance in Bridgwater is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join a well-established practice. This hands-on role offers a varied client portfolio, a chance to mentor juniors and a tangible path into management.

Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified with strong accounts preparation skills, you will work closely with Partners to deliver high-quality service and identify efficiency improvements, while enjoying flexible working and generous holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities

A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Bridgwater is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join its experienced team. This is a hands-on position offering a varied client portfolio, opportunities to support junior colleagues and genuine potential to progress into a management role.

As Accounts Senior, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies
• Producing corporation tax computations and supporting tax planning work
• Preparing management accounts and providing useful commentary for clients
• Reviewing and supporting the development of junior team members
• Working closely with Partners to deliver a high standard of service across a diverse client base
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and introduce more efficient ways of working

The successful Accounts Senior will:

Ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, with previous experience gained within an accountancy practice absolutely vital. Whilst post-qualified experience would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from ambitious accountants who have the technical ability and motivation to progress.

You’ll have strong accounts preparation skills, a pro-active approach and the confidence to develop effective relationships with both clients and colleagues.
