Job summary

Bk Plus in Brighouse is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide accountancy services to a diverse client base. You will prepare statutory year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, liaise with clients on accounts and tax, and oversee junior staff.

The role requires strong knowledge of personal and corporate taxation and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines within a supportive team environment. This is an on-site position at our Brighouse office.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing statutory year end accounts for various business structures.
• Good understanding of personal and corporate taxation.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Liaise with clients regarding accounts, tax returns and other issues.
• Review junior staff work and ensure timely completion for clients.
• Manage client portfolios including management accounts.

We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our friendly team providing accountancy to a number of clients across various business sectors for our office in Brighouse.

Brief Job Description

• Preparation of statutory year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Liaising with clients regarding accounts, tax returns and other issues.
• Review of junior accounts staff work and completion for client.
• Management accounts.
• Having a portfolio of self-assessment and partnership tax returns to complete each year.
• Supporting and guiding junior staff.

Requirement for the role

• Experience of Iris, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
• Extensive tax knowledge of all areas of personal and corporate taxation.
• Able to work on own initiative to meet deadlines.
• Friendly and confident manner.
• Able to work as part of a team and alone.
• Must be able to work to tight deadlines and unsupervised.
