Job summary

TC Group in Maidenhead is seeking an experienced audit and accounts professional to join the team. This role focuses on small/medium limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. We welcome candidates with 2 years in general practice who are AAT qualified or progressing through ACCA/ACA exams, with study support available.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years general practice experience and competence in bookkeeping, VAT, accounts preparation and some taxation work for small/medium companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• AAT Qualified or part of ACCA/ACA exams.
• Ideally knowledge of VAT and general tax concepts.
• Experience with CCH Accounts Preparation/Audit Automation, Sage, QuickBooks and Xero would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of audit, accounts and taxation work for small/medium companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Assist directors with client meetings and respond to queries on accounting, payroll and taxation matters.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and HMRC registrations, advise on bookkeeping requirements.
• Prepare year end accounts, corporation tax computations and management accounts.
• Review VAT returns and bookkeeping.
• Support senior staff with audit assignments and testing.
• Direct communication with clients to raise and resolve queries.
• Maintain good client relations throughout engagements, especially recurring assignments.
