Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Get involved in the full process of preparing financial statements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships — from bank and portfolio analysis through to draft accounts.
• Assist with quarterly loan interest calculations, and the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Support with Companies House filings and related statutory work.
• Exposure to trust accounts as you progress — full training and support given.
• Respond to client queries under guidance, building confidence with a loyal, largely HNW client base.
• Get involved in client meetings with opportunities to travel to clients across the North West, North Wales, Shropshire and Derbyshire.
• Assist the directors with ad hoc work, such as preparing documentation for client finance applications.
• Help prepare cashflows and budgets, and learn the firm's AML processes for new and existing clients.
• Work closely with experienced directors who will teach the reasoning behind the numbers, not just the software steps.

A well-established, family-run firm of chartered accountants in Warrington is looking for a Semi Senior to join its close-knit accounts team, working directly alongside experienced directors on a varied, high-net-worth client base.

It's a genuinely hands-on role — you'll get involved from bank analysis right through to draft accounts — with study costs funded in full, whether you're continuing towards ACA or ACCA.

Semi Senior Accountant (ACA/ACCA Study Support) - This Role Is Ideal For a Semi Senior Who:

• Has around at least 4 years general practice experience already (this isn't a first job in accountancy) and is studying, or about to start studying, towards ACA or ACCA

Semi Senior Accountant (ACA/ACCA Study Support) - Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly loan interest calculations, and the preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Support with Companies House filings and related statutory work
• Exposure to trust accounts as you progress — full training and support given

Client Exposure

• Respond to client queries under guidance, building confidence working with a loyal, largely HNW client base
