Rekroot is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their well-established practice in Stockport. You will prepare financial statements from source documents and assist in taxation and bookkeeping tasks for a varied client base.

The role emphasises client liaison, accurate reporting, and supporting managers with accounts preparation, VAT returns, and year-end work. Progression through professional qualifications is encouraged in a supportive environment.

Competenze

• Ideally AAT Qualified/ Part Qual ACCA.
• IRIS software experience is desirable.
• Cloud-based accounting systems knowledge including Xero, VT, QuickBooks.
• Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel, to an intermediate level.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Confident when dealing with clients and getting your views across.
• Use initiative to identify problems and provide solutions.

Our client is a well-established firm of Accountants based in the Stockport Area. They supply bespoke accountancy and taxation services to all types of businesses and individuals.

The firm are currently seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.

The Role as a Semi Senior Accountant:

• As a Semi Senior Accountant you will be expected to prepare financial statements from source documents/records to final accounts for review by one of the managers or directors
• Corporation Tax
• Bookkeeping/VAT Returns
• Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements
• Work on a wide range of accounts and industries
• Liaise with clients directly or through the relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information
• Ensure a high level of service to meet client's expectations

The ideal candidate for this Semi Senior Accountant position:
