Qualifications

• Grounding in general practice work.
• AAT qualification or near qualification, or pursuing ACCA/ACA/QBE in consideration.
• Experience in accounting practice is essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of draft accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Assist Senior staff with a portfolio of clients
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
• Bookkeeping work for clients
• Preparation of periodic VAT returns
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

Skills

AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or ACCA

Practice experience is essential

Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established independent firm of charted accountants in Chelmsford, as they are looking to add an Accounts Semi Senior to their team.

As an Accounts Semi Senior the successful candidate will undertake a varied general practice role which will see you preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, as well as associated tax compliance. You will also complete bookkeeping work for clients, prepare VAT returns, and process some clients’ payroll.

The ideal candidate will have a grounding in general practice work and may be AAT qualified (or nearly qualified) or have already begun studying towards the ACCA or ACA qualification / QBE also considered.
