Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting in Newquay is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their friendly, progressive practice. This is a real contribution role within a growing firm.

You will assist with year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, prepare personal and corporate tax returns, complete VAT and bookkeeping tasks, and support senior staff while developing technical knowledge through training.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• AAT qualification, or qualified by experience.
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge through training.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments
• Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries

A friendly, progressive workplace and the opportunity to make a genuine contribution to the success of your clients. Trial Balance are pleased to be working with a Newquay based accountancy practice, who are seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their successful team.

An increase in demand for their services has led to a new vacancy for an Accounts Semi Senior to join, in what is a really exciting time for the business.

The main duties of this Accounts Semi Senior position will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments
• Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
• Supporting more senior members of the team with a range of accounting assignments
• Continuing to develop technical knowledge through training and practical experience

This role would be a great fit for an accountant with recent experience gained in an accountancy practice environment.

Whilst part or full AAT qualification would be highly beneficial, applications are welcomed from candidates who are qualified by experience.
