Job summary

Anderson Clark is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to own the AR function at our Buntingford office. You will create, issue and track invoices, monitor payments and ageing, and collaborate with the finance team to keep cash flowing and records accurate.

The role is fully office-based in Buntingford with free parking and a comprehensive benefits package. You’ll join a forward-thinking, international group and have room to grow as the firm expands.

Qualifications

• Previous experience creating complex invoices (essential).
• Approx. 3 years' UK experience in a similar role within a medium to large organisation.
• Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, problem-solving approach, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working across multiple countries is a plus.
• Construction industry experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue client invoices accurately and on time, including complex ones.
• Monitor and record incoming payments.
• Reconcile AR balances and chase discrepancies.
• Manage client communications around invoices and payment terms.
• Produce regular AR status and ageing reports.
• Follow up on overdue accounts with sensible collection strategies.
• Keep receivable records accurate and up to date.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team on day-to-day operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
