Job summary

Euro Auctions in Dromore, Northern Ireland, is offering a paid placement year in finance. You will work on ledgers, reconciliation, FX administration and assist the team with daily accounting tasks.

Ideal for third-year Accounts students or fresh graduates seeking international business experience; 12–15 months, full-time, with travel opportunities and exposure to multiple currencies.

Qualifications

• Be studying Accounts or related field at third level.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK within 1 hour of the office.
• Available for full-time 12–15 months.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and good judgement.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sales ledger and purchase ledger.
• Support monthly management accounts preparation.
• Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations.
• Manage credit control and debt collection.
• Oversee stock records and reconciliation.
• Handle foreign exchange transactions and admin.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across activities.
• Utilise MS Excel to analyse and report financial information.
• Assist the wider finance team with daily tasks.

Job description

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Fridays 8am – 3.45pm

Location: Dromore, Co. Tyrone.

About this role

Key Activities

• Sales ledger and purchase ledger


• Input to support preparation of monthly management accounts.


• Multi-currency bank reconciliations


• Credit control and debt collection


• Stock management and reconciliation


• Foreign Exchange transactions and administration


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.


• Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all accounting activities.


• Use Microsoft Excel effectively to manage, analyse and report financial information.


• Support the wider finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.

The Person:

This role will require a motivated individual with impeccable judgement and an innate ability to problem solve. Operating globally across 3 continents requires flexible individuals with the ability to work to high standards in a fast-paced environment.

While these opportunities are initially aimed at third year placement students, they are also open to fresh graduates eager to gain valuable international business experience.

The Requirements

• Be studying towards a third level discipline preferably in Accounts (other disciplines will be considered).


• Must be eligible to live, work and remain in the UK, within 1 hour’s commute of the office you are applying to


• The ability to work full time for 12-15 months.


• Demonstrate common sense with exceptional commercial awareness.


• Show proficiency in entire MS Office suite especially Excel.
