Job summary

Outdoor and Cycle Concepts Ltd in Swindon is seeking an Accounts Payable/Treasury Assistant to support day-to-day finance, ensuring invoices, payments and reconciliations are processed accurately and on time, while upholding confidentiality and integrity.

You will work across supplier accounts, expenses and cash activity, respond to queries, and help keep our financial records up to date, with a hybrid office pattern and opportunities to develop treasury skills within a growing retail group.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive with good prioritisation.
• Customer-focused and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and credit notes with correct coding and authorization
• Review and process staff expense claims per policy
• Process and allocate supplier payments per terms
• Upload and manage large invoices in the accounting system
• Reconcile supplier accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare monthly Intrastat and VAT reports

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of three days in the office per week.

What you'll be doing

You’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance processes of the business, ensuring invoices, payments and reconciliations are processed accurately and efficiently. You’ll work across supplier accounts, expenses and cash activity, responding to queries and helping to keep our financial records accurate and up to date.

• Process invoices and credit notes, ensuring they are correctly coded and authorised


• Review and process staff expense claims in line with Company policy


• Process and allocate supplier payments in accordance with agreed payment terms


• Upload and manage large invoices within the accounting system


• Reconcile supplier accounts, investigating inaccuracies and outstanding debit items


• Review Goods and Non-Goods items placed on hold and take appropriate action


• Prepare and submit monthly Intrastat and VAT reports accurately and on time


• Reconcile cash and other payment types, investigate discrepancies and respond to supplier, cash and till queries promptly

We're looking for someone who

• Has a good understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes


• Is confident using Excel and Outlook as part of their day-to-day work


• Has excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy


• Takes a proactive approach to tasks and is comfortable managing priorities


• Has a strong internal customer focus and responds to queries in a helpful and timely way


• Builds positive working relationships and enjoys collaborating with others


• Acts with integrity and understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality


• Is comfortable working with financial information, reconciliations and key measures such as aged creditors, GRNI, cash allocation and debtor days
