Immediate Media Co. in London is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team, ensuring accurate recording of commitments and payments in line with policy. You will support month-end processes and provide financial information for decision-making.

You’ll collaborate with Finance Manager and Financial Director, build strong stakeholder relationships, and develop your ACCA/CIMA studies while benefiting from flexible/hybrid working and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• High numeracy and literacy skills (Maths and English GCSE at grade C or equivalent desirable).
• Strong Word and Excel skills.
• Experience of using a Finance system desirable (Access Dimensions) but not essential.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
• Flexible / hybrid working plus early finish Fridays.

Responsabilités

• Record all outstanding financial commitments to third party suppliers and ensure purchase orders are accurate and raised promptly.
• Ensure payments to suppliers are made in accordance with company policy.
• Assist with employee expenses and credit card processes in line with policy.
• Set up new suppliers on the Accounts Payable ledger with credit checks where applicable.
• Close the Accounts Payable ledger at month end and run aged creditor listings.
• Manage the aged creditor listing and reflect liabilities for events.
• Carry out bank reconciliations as per month end timetable.
• Update cash flow forecast for supplier payments in the coming month.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments, accruals, intercompany accounts.
• Support Finance Manager with reports to wider team; assist Accounts Receivable when required.
• Ad hoc tasks as required by Finance Manager or Financial Director.
