Job summary

Steer, a global consultancy, is seeking an Accounts Payable professional in Leeds to process supplier invoices, manage payments, reconcile accounts and support month-end reporting. You will handle multi-currency supplier transactions, ensure accurate coding, authorise payments, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

The role supports procurement and cost allocations, with emphasis on high-volume processing, attention to detail and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• AAT studies desirable; GCSE Maths and English
• Experience using Unit4 Agresso or similar ERP/finance system
• Experience processing invoices, expenses, payment runs and bank transactions
• Ability to manage high volumes of invoices and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Review and process supplier invoices with accurate coding and posting
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Perform budget checks and ensure expenditure is authorised
• Review and approve employee expense claims
• Process credit card transactions with supporting documentation
• Support procurement and payment-related queries
• Manage AP cashbook and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and upload payment files and run BACS payments
• Process multi-currency supplier transactions
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
• Assist with month-end reporting and creditors reconciliations
