MCS Group is partnering with a leading food production business to recruit a Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant in Castlewellan. The role reports to the finance director and offers exposure to a recently implemented ERP system within a busy finance function.

Key responsibilities include processing purchase orders, matching invoices, managing approvals, and supporting fortnightly payment runs in Sterling and Euros. The ideal candidate will have AP experience and strong attention to detail.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication skills when dealing with invoice queries
• Previous food production experience would be beneficial but is not essential

MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading food production business to recruit a Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team for an initial 3-month contract.

The Company:

Our client is an established food production business specialising in the production and supply of food products. Operating within a fast-paced industry, the organisation manages complex supply chains and works with suppliers to ensure the smooth running of its production operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business and gain experience within a busy finance function, working alongside experienced finance professionals and gaining exposure to a recently implemented ERP system.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the relevant finance director, the Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for:

• Processing purchase orders and matching invoices
• Managing invoice approvals and ensuring invoices are processed accurately
• Assisting with fortnightly payment runs
• Handling transactions in both Sterling and Euros
