Job summary

PHMG is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in Old Trafford, Manchester. The role focuses on strategic process optimisation, strong financial controls and leading the AP team to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

You will work across Finance, Operations and wider business to ensure timely and accurate supplier payments, maintain robust controls and deliver on-month end responsibilities. The package includes base salary and OT earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems, Navision preferred.
• Multi-currency AP environment experience.
• Experience leading a high-performing AP team.
• Strong technical knowledge of AP, controls, supplier management and cash flow.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end AP function ensuring timely supplier payments.
• Review aged creditors and reconcile supplier statements.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Manage purchase order system (Precoro) and supplier onboarding.
• Collaborate with Management Accounts, FP&A, and Operations.
• Lead and develop the AP team.
• Oversee bank accounts, reconciliations, and cash controls.
• Support month-end, year-end closes and audits.
