Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join the North Manchester-based Group Finance team. You will lead a five-strong AP team, ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and uphold high standards of controls in a busy finance operation.

The role offers hybrid working, a salary of £40,000-£45,000, and opportunities to drive process improvements and develop staff. This position provides a clear path for leadership within a dynamic finance function.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a busy Accounts Payable/P2P team.
• Proven ability to meet SLAs for invoices and queries.
• High-volume supplier invoice processing experience.
• Ability to provide guidance and escalation for AP activities.
• Strong data analysis and process improvement focus.
• Knowledge of financial controls and audit requirements.
• Ability to resolve supplier and stakeholder queries quickly.
• Experience monitoring performance data and identifying trends.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Building relationships with suppliers and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of five Accounts Payable Associates.
• Plan and prioritise daily workloads to ensure invoices are processed within SLAs.
• Oversee accurate processing of high-volume supplier invoices.
• Provide expert guidance and act as escalation point for AP activities.
• Monitor performance, productivity and quality; drive improvements.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and wider finance teams.
