Job summary

Michael Page are recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Manager for a Peterborough-based property organisation. You will own day-to-day AP operations, ensure timely invoicing and payments, and lead a small AP team to deliver accurate processing and strong supplier relationships.

You will drive performance through process improvements, controls around PR/PO, and identify automation opportunities while providing management information and KPIs to stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Produce management information and reports on AP performance, KPIs and key process improvements.

Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and transform the AP function. This role will be responsible for driving performance, improving processes, and ensuring the efficient management of supplier payments whilst leading a small team.

• Take ownership of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:

• Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable function within a fast-paced environment.
• A strong track record of implementing process improvements, driving efficiencies and introducing automation.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage performance and handle challenging team dynamics.
• An approachable but firm management style, with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Experience improving controls around purchasing, purchase order and payment processes.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong systems knowledge and confidence working with financial software and ERP platforms.
• Ideally around 10 years' experience within Accounts Payable or a related finance function.
• A high level of attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy and compliance.
• Able to commit to 5 days a week in the Peterborough office.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary around £47,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Permanent position within the property industry.
• Office-based role, 5 days per week.
