Job summary

Better Placed is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a scale-up in London. You will own the end-to-end AP function within a high-growth consumer business, processing invoices, matching codes, and building strong supplier relationships.

Aimed at developing into management accounts and broader commercial finance as the business scales. You will join a collaborative Finance team with exposure to month-end, reporting, and process improvements, in a hybrid London setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or similar Finance role.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes and reconciliations.
• Ambition to develop into broader finance responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Accounts Payable from invoice to payment.
• Process, code and match supplier invoices accurately.
• Manage supplier statements, reconciliations and payment queries.
• Prepare regular supplier payment runs and maintain supplier records.
• Handle AP inbox and liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support month-end close with accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist with expenses, credit cards and other transactional finance tasks.
• Contribute to cash-flow visibility and process improvements.
