We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team based in Crewe. As our business grows, this role is essential in ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.

Based within our Central Finance function in Crewe, you will play a key role in managing accounts payable processes, contributing to our company's success. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to excellence in financial management.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:30 – 16:00. We also offer flexible and hybrid working options.

Your Responsibilities:

• Managing the purchase ledger mailbox with ownership and responsibility.
• Reporting and ensuring timely approval of purchase orders and invoices.
• Inputting purchase invoices manually.
• Resolving supplier queries promptly.
• Reconciling supplier statements as directed.
• Preparing payment proposals on a rotational basis.
• Supporting external audits by providing requested samples.
• Performing ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Contributing as an active team member in our finance department.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
• Collaborative approach to team initiatives.
• Effective communication with team members and suppliers.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
