Heriot-Watt University invites applications for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our busy Finance team. You will support the Accounts Payable function, processing supplier invoices, expenses and payments with accuracy and compliance across the University’s global operations.

The role offers hybrid working in line with university arrangements and focuses on improving processes, controls and service delivery.

Formación

• Experience in Accounts Payable or transactional finance in a busy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication with suppliers and colleagues.
• Understanding of financial controls and documentation requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion) and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Process supplier invoices accurately in Oracle per procedures.
• Review invoices and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Apply PO requirements and resolve non-compliance with colleagues.
• Process expenses, scholarships and payments in line with policy.
• Prepare payment runs and issue remittances to suppliers.
• Maintain supplier records and handle supplier queries to resolution.
• Support audits and period-end activities.
