• Keep purchase ledger records accurate and up to date.
• Support month-end accounts payable activities.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to resolve queries.
• Provide support with Accounts Receivable activities when required.

About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a fast-paced finance function. The role requires someone who understands the demands of the freight sector, is confident using Sage 50 and can become productive quickly. Immediate availability is highly desirable.

Duties will include:

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching invoices against relevant documentation and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating outstanding items
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining positive working relationships
• Keeping purchase ledger records accurate and up to date
• Supporting month-end accounts payable activities
• Working closely with colleagues across finance and operations to resolve invoice and payment queries
• Providing support with Accounts Receiveable activities when required

About the Successful Applicant

You will have at least two years' Accounts Payable experience, ideally gained within the freight sector or a similar fast-paced environment, along with strong Sage 50 knowledge. Highly organised and detail-focused, you will be comfortable managing a busy workload and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy. Strong communication skills are essential, and candidates who are immediately available will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
