About the role

The Accounts Payable Assistant will support the finance department by processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Please note this is a part-time role of 30 hours per week.

What will you be doing?

  1. Processing suppliers' invoices
  2. Managing supplier account queries in an efficient and accurate manner.
  3. Ensuring invoices are approved in accordance with company policy and match purchase orders and receipts.
  4. Assisting with month-end closing procedures.
  5. Processing payment runs before being sent for approval and bank statement reconciliations.
  6. Updating and maintaining supplier accounts, including new supplier setup and changes.
  7. Effectively communicating with colleagues in order to improve processes and follow procedures.
  8. Monthly reconciliation of company credit cards.
  9. Any ad hoc duties.

What will you bring?

  1. Proven working experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
  2. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. Proficient with financial software (e.g., SAP, Excel, etc.).
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  4. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
