About the team and the role

Our operations team seeks an Accounts Payable Administrator for 6 months.

What you'll do

• Accurate and timely processing of invoices, including inputting, coding, and PO matching invoices;
• Investigate and resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies on invoices using internal systems;
• Assist in preparing BACs and CHAPs payments when required;
• Work towards individual and team invoice targets;
• Assist in filing and maintaining the accuracy of filing systems;
• Manage queries from internal and external parties via telephone and email;
• Communicate with departments across the business;
• Identify and escalate issues and conflicts to the Team Leader;
• Adhere to contractual, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Who you are

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a customer-focused environment;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable;
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles;
• Experience resolving invoice discrepancies;
• Knowledge of ORACLE accounting software;
• GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths at grade C or above;
• Experience in a high-volume commercial department.
