About the Role

Hays is proud to partner with a respected local council to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable professional. This is an initial 3-month contract arising from an internal team member’s departure. We seek a motivated individual to support the finance team immediately.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accurately process a high volume of invoices
2. Respond to accounts payable queries and ensure timely invoice payments
3. Generate and manipulate reports to support financial operations
4. Utilize Excel functions such as pivot tables and V-lookups for data analysis

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a local council or public sector environment is advantageous
• Proven background in Accounts Payable or similar finance roles
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
