Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Bamber Bridge
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

About the Company:
Our client is a well-established and respected construction firm based in Bamber Bridge, specialising in fit-out and interiors. Known for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining strong client relationships, they are looking to expand their finance team with the addition of a versatile and experienced Account Manager.

Role Overview:
This all-encompassing Account Manager role is crucial to the financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for managing key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the company's accounts. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance who is comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Control: Manage and oversee the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of payments and maintaining excellent relationships with clients.
  • Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger: Process and manage both purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely payments.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Payroll Management: Handle payroll for both employees and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • CIS (Construction Industry Scheme): Manage CIS payments and deductions for subcontractors. While prior knowledge of CIS is preferred, it is not essential as training can be provided.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses to support business decision-making and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for financial queries from clients, providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar account management or finance role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of credit control, purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes.
  • Familiarity with CIS is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in accounting software - SAGE 50 and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Competitive salary between £32,000 - £35,000, based on experience.
