Job summary

TPF Recruitment in Eastleigh is seeking an Accounts Manager to join a growing practice of chartered accountants. You will manage a small portfolio of clients and report to the Directors, while reviewing accounts and handling tax returns.

You will also oversee a team of Assistant Manager, Senior and Junior accountants, guiding their development and performance. Hybrid working is available (3 days in the office, 2 from home) with exposure to prestigious national and international clients.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a Chartered Accountants firm in a similar role.
• Ability to review complex accounts and accounting work to a high standard.
• Experience running meetings with clients.
• Mentoring and reviewing work is a must.

Youwill be joining a fast growing and successful practice, where you will work ina general practice capacity within the accounts team. This position is beingrecruited as a consequence of growth and presents an excellent opportunity forthe right candidate to progress in their career. You will be given lots of autonomy, where you will havedirect client contact and the opportunity to oversee a small team too.

Alarge proportion of the position can be built around the candidate'sexperience/ aspirations but as an example you will be responsible for:

• Managing your own small portfolio of clients, reporting to the Directors.
• Reviewingof accounts for your clients, including preparation of accounts,consolidations, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Managinga team of Assistant Manager, Senior and Junior-level accountants, beingresponsible for their growth and development.

Requirements

• Experienceworking for a firm of Chartered Accountants in a similar role. Candidates currentlyworking at an Assistant Manager level will also be considered.
• Beable to competently review complex accounts and accounting work to a highstandard, ready for final director review.
• Comfortableand competent running meetings with clients.
• Experiencementoring and reviewing work is a must. You won’t need to have hands-onexperience managing a team but this experience is desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation,management accounts, tax, and VAT.
• Previous experience reviewing work prepared by morejunior members of staff.
• £50,000- £55,000 dependent on experience and qualification status.
• Hybridworking available (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
• Freeparking.
