Job summary

WestonBrook Associates in Essex is seeking an Accounts Junior to join a growing regional accountancy practice near Chelmsford. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in accounts preparation while progressing your career within the firm.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a practice, some exposure to accounts prep, and preferably late stage AAT or qualified AAT. You will work on draft statutory accounts, VAT, corporation tax computations, bookkeeping, and client accounting

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a practice environment and exposure to accounts preparation.
• AAT studying or qualified is preferred.
• Knowledge of VAT and corporation tax computations is an advantage.
• Familiar with accounting systems and software.

Responsibilities

Accounts Junior - Accountancy Practice experienced

Nr Chelmsford

£20,000 - £25,000 DOE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Junior to join a dynamic and growing accountancy practice based near Chelmsford. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in Accounts preparation while working towards your own career development within the accountancy practice sector.

The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, and possess at least 1 years' experience within a practice environment and have had some exposure to accounts preparation.

Duties

• Supporting with a preparation of draft statutory accounts
• Supporting with the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
• Dealing with the preparation and submission of VAT
• Assisting with Bookkeeping duties
• Assisting with client management accounting support
• Liaising with clients to support with queries

About You

• You will have previous experience / exposure within accounts prep - ideally 1 year
• Ideally late stage AAT studier or qualified AAT
• Ideally some knowledge of VAT and Corporation tax computations

Previous experience with accounting systems

Excellent communication skills

A proactive attitude with eagerness to learn new systems and processes
