Job summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded, multisited firm of chartered accountants in its search for an Accounts & Bookkeeping Advisor to join its Stalbridge office. This is a varied opportunity for an experienced accountancy practice professional who enjoys working closely with clients and providing a broad range of accounts and bookkeeping services.

The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of owner managed businesses, with exposure to agricultural and farming

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Solid knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping.
• Confident communication with clients is required.
• Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience with agricultural/farming clients is beneficial but not essential.
• AAT qualification or active study towards a professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Complete bookkeeping and management accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Support clients with cloud accounting software.
• Maintain accurate accounting records.
• Respond to client queries and build strong working relationships.
• Liaise with colleagues across the firm.
• Assist with other general practice work as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice




• Possess a good working knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping




• Be confident communicating directly with clients




• Be comfortable managing their own workload and meeting deadlines




• Have experience or knowledge of agricultural and farming clients, although this is not essential




• Be qualified by experience, AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification
