Job summary

Clark Wood Limited in Devizes is seeking an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior / Senior to join their independent firm of Chartered Accountants. You will work on a varied portfolio, handling audits from planning to completion, and support with accounts and tax work.

Your responsibilities include completing audits for diverse clients (limited companies, charities, academies and clubs), preparing year-end accounts, corporation and personal tax returns, VAT returns, and mentoring junior staff while

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Audit experience and end-to-end audit exposure.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and audit processes.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Organised and able to manage own workload.
• Independent and team-working capability.

Responsibilities

• Complete audits from planning to completion for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Prepare audit files for Manager review.
• Support junior team members during audits.
• Prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients.
• Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Review straightforward accounts and tax returns as required.
• Support development and training of AAT trainees.
