This role suits someone studying towards ACA/ACCA or having recently completed a professional qualification, with a supportive environment to grow technical and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Good working knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping.
• Experience using cloud accounting software (Xero/Sage/QuickBooks).
• Understanding of VAT compliance and Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Knowledge of audit procedures and assurance engagements.
• Strong IT skills (Excel and Office).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Support in audit planning, fieldwork and completion stages.
• Prepare VAT returns using MTD-compatible software.
• Assist with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
• Prepare and submit company secretarial filings and maintain client records.
• Develop client relationships and deliver quality service.
