Job summary

Pro-Talent in Penzance, Cornwall is seeking an Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior to join a growing practice within a national group. You will work alongside managers and partners across accounts preparation, audit, VAT, bookkeeping and tax, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to a varied client base.

The role offers development, close mentoring, and the chance to handle client visits and on-site support, with opportunities to advance towards ACA/ACCA.

Qualifications

• Accountancy practice experience with solid bookkeeping knowledge.
• Confident with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• Working understanding of VAT, MTD and audits.
• AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA; UK driving licence helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and management accounts for a variety of clients.
• Contribute to audits from planning through fieldwork to completion.
• Prepare VAT returns and support clients with MTD.
• Assist with self-assessment and tax computations.
• Handle Companies House filings and secretarial tasks.
• Support clients with accounting software and on-site visits.
