Clark Wood Limited is recruiting an Accounts & Audit Manager in Northallerton. The role covers audit, accounts, client management, and staff guidance, handling a varied SME, owner-managed, charity and corporate client portfolio.

You'll plan and review statutory audits, prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP, manage deadlines and budgets, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with Partners on client development.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Strong audit and accounts experience
• Experience managing and reviewing audit assignments
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory accounts
• Confident managing client relationships
• Experience reviewing and supporting junior staff
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients

Clark Wood are recruiting for an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager to join a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Northallerton.

This is a varied practice role suited to an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with experience in audit, accounts and client management.

The role would suit an experienced Audit Manager, Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Accounts & Audit Senior looking to take the next step in their career.

You will manage a varied portfolio of SME, owner-managed business, charity and corporate clients, taking responsibility for audit assignments, accounts preparation and review, client relationships and supporting junior staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients
