Job summary

Clark Wood Limited is working with a leading Top 40 chartered accountancy practice in Peterborough to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager. The role focuses on audit with 80:20 split to accounts, managing a varied portfolio of clients, planning and delivering audits, and supervising the team.

You will work closely with the Audit Partner, review year-end accounts, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to training and development within the team.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with audit experience in practice.
• Experience leading a team of auditors.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Clark Wood are delighted to be working with this highly regarded, Top 40 firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit & Accounts Manager to their team in Peterborough.
This leading firm have an excellent presence across the area, and as a result of sustained growth and success, they are now keen to add a personable and professional Audit & Accounts Manager who can help to enhance their excellent reputation.
As a Manager in the Peterborough office you will work directly with the lead Audit Partner and will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients from a broad range of industry sectors.
The workload within the role will be weighted towards audit over accounts to an approximate split of 80:20.
You will be responsible for managing the audit process from planning through to completion, ensuring the deployment of appropriate staff levels for each assignment. You will be responsible for reviewing year-end accounts prepared by members of your team, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards before they go out to your clients.
Aside from the client management responsibilities the successful person will also contribute to the day to day management and training of the team.
The ideal individual for the role will be ACA / ACCA qualified and will have a wealth of audit experience from an established practice background with previous management experience.
