Sharp Consultancy is working with a growing business based in Penistone who are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts environment.
• Experience with sales ledger and credit control.
• Experience using Sage accounting software or similar.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Good numerical and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, organised and questioning approach.

Responsibilities

• Process and allocate daily customer receipts and bank transactions.
• Manage customer accounts and carry out credit control.
• Investigate and resolve payment and account queries.
• Raise daily customer invoices and credit notes.
• Produce commercial and export invoices.
• Support order processing and respond to customer queries.
• Perform credit checks on new customers.
• Collaborate with Sales Director on credit limits and terms.
• Produce weekly customer and management reports.
• Support month-end processes and account reconciliations.
• Post intercompany transactions and assist with VAT reporting.
• Process customer card payments and maintain records.
