Job summary

Jago Consultants in Worthing is seeking an experienced accounts assistant to join a client’s team on a full-time basis, with potential for part-time hours for the right candidate. You will monitor outstanding accounts, assist with purchase ledger, and support day-to-day accounting tasks.

The role requires a Full UK Driving license and current experience in accounts roles; you will liaise with the team to ensure prompt payments and accurate posting of cash and banking, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK Driving licence.
• Currently in an accounts assistant role or similar.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all outstanding accounts to ensure payments are made swiftly and in line with customer terms of credit.
• Assist Purchase Ledger with day-to-day administration.
• Scan invoices as required.
• Posting Cash and Company banking.
• Support team with statement reconciliation.
• Note all outstanding accounts and investigate with the relevant departmental manager to ensure that there is no reason for non-payment.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties as required.
