Job summary

Randstad Financial & Professional is partnering with a growing construction business in Enfield to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on high-volume invoice processing, sales and subcontractor ledgers, and assisting with payroll and month-end tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Sage 50/Sage 50 Payroll, be able to liaise with multiple stakeholders, and hold or be working towards an AAT qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience handling high volumes of invoice processing.
• Experience with purchase and sales ledgers.
• Knowledge of CITB, CIS and Construction industry practices.
• Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
• AAT qualification or equivalent level of study preferred.
• Must be able to work in the office.

Responsibilities

• High volume of invoice processing.
• Sales ledger management.
• Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Journals and general ledger entries.
• Support month and year end processes.
• Subcontractor ledger management and payments.
• Process staff expenses and record keeping.
• Support wider finance team on ad hoc tasks.
• Payroll processing assistance.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
