Why are we doing THIS?

Andy and Pete are our co-founders and their last job entailed selling tonnes (literally tonnes) of meat. Then they felt bad. Also, they felt like meat-alternatives weren't really for people who love the taste of meat. So they’ve basically ended up making THIS for themselves, but they’d love other meat-lovers to give it a go too. THIS is a game-changer.

What’s with this role?

Fancy diving into the world of finance with a fun twist? We're on the lookout for a part-time Accounts Assistant to bring their awesome skills and positive vibes to our team! This is a part-time role (approximately 25 hours per week) which would be ideal for someone looking to work flexibly while contributing to key financial operations. You will be responsible for managing supplier accounts, processing invoices, handling payments, and ensuring the smooth running of our accounts payable function.

What will you be getting up to?

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Creating and maintaining supplier records, ensuring completion of all compliance checks.
  • Reviewing corporate card transactions for correct cost allocation and VAT.
  • Monitoring and managing the accounts department inbox, providing timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
  • Investigating and actively resolving purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepancies efficiently.
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Preparing and processing weekly supplier payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Processing employee expenses, ensuring correct cost allocation, VAT treatment and adherence to company policy.
  • Handling ad hoc requests to help the team.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in an accounts or finance assistant role (AP-focused experience is desirable).
  • Proficient and confident in accounting software and MS Excel (NetSuite experience would be an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Proactive, driven work ethic with the capacity to work independently and autonomously.
